Help Us Help the Saltmarsh Sparrow
SALSri is an unfunded, volunteer-driven, research program. Through our first two years, expenses have been limited to purchasing mist nets and banding supplies and providing small stipends for student interns, all of which have been covered by contributions from the project directors and local volunteers serving the community. For the upcoming 2019 field season, we hope to hire a student/field assistant to enable us to meet expanded goals. We have arranged a mechanism for supporters to donate money directly to the Audubon Society of Rhode Island (ASRI.org) that is specifically targeted to support our Saltmarsh Sparrow research.
You Can Make a Difference in:
documenting the impact of global warming on a threatened species;
providing training and experience for the next generation of wildlife biologists.
To support our research with a tax-deductible donation, please send a check to Audubon Society of Rhode Island (12 Sanderson Road, Smithfield, RI 02917), and
write “attn: sparrow research” on the envelope, and
on the memo line of the check enter “for sparrow research, SSRI”.
To make donations via credit card, please call Jeff Hall, ASRI Director of Development, at 401-949-5454 and inform him of your intent to donate to the Saltmarsh Sparrow research account.
Thank you so much for your support.
